ASSEMBLYMEMBER DIXON RECOGNIZES THE FOUNDATION OF LAGUNA WOODS VILLAGE AS NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR

SACRAMENTO (May 21, 2025) – Today, Assemblymember Diane Dixon (R-Newport Beach) recognized the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village (Foundation) as her 2025 Non-Profit of the Year.

“The Foundation is an excellent resource for Laguna Woods Village,” said Assemblymember Dixon, “They truly personify their motto of ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’ which is a blessing in this day and age.”

The Foundation is celebrating their 28th anniversary this month. It has funded more than $1.2 million to support members of the Village in the last five years alone. In addition to traditional services such as supporting residents with financial issues (such as electrical bills, caregiver bills, groceries or gas), transportation to the local food pantry or earthquake disaster kits, they provide funding for Meals on Wheels and Alzheimer’s scholarships for service during the day.

“It is an honor to recognize the Foundation as my non-profit of the year,” said Assemblymember Dixon, “I am grateful for all they do for the community of Laguna Woods Village.”
